Please see below a message from Chris Shears WITS Protocol Standards Association Chairman:
Hello,
All those involved in the development of Lucid have been working recently to generate a definitive specification that we can use going forward. We have now released the “Lucid Protocol Specification v2.0”. As WITS members, the specification and matching JSON can now be accessed at the link given below:
Log on with your username and password. Note that if you have not accessed the Lucid PSA share before, you may need to request access permissions from Steve Beadle, by emailing him at stephen.beadle@se.com
Work continues on the generation of a new website to support the open publication of the protocol. By open publication we mean publishing the document on the internet. The exact date of publication is dependent upon when the website becomes available and how we handle some small comments on the specification. These comments have arisen out of work performed by members who are implementing the protocol.
In the meantime, there is no issue in sharing the document with other non-WITS parties prior to that open publication, as there is an appropriate disclaimer and copyright statement in the document. In fact, the WITS-PSA would encourage sharing with other parties who have any interest in the protocol. We only request that at this time the specification is not placed on-line.
Now that the specification is with you, the WITS members, it would be great to see prototype Lucid Field Devices under test at the WITS Plugfest on 12th June 2024.
Many thanks
Chris Shears
